Ethiopia Misty Valley Natural

High in Ethiopia's Gedeb district, in the hills that gave Yirgacheffe its name, ripe coffee cherry is laid out on raised African beds and turned by hand, day and night, until the fruit's sweetness settles fully into the bean. It's slow, deliberate work — the kind of patience mountain farming has always demanded.

Exporter and producer partner Abdullah Bagersh oversees the process from cherry to Grade 1 lot, traded through the Ethiopian Coffee Exchange. The result is a cup that opens with mixed berry jam, rounds out with marzipan, and finishes in dark chocolate — bright, layered, and unmistakably Yirgacheffe.
